Health Disclaimer

Last updated: 30 September 2026

The content on Nutri-Verse, including Journal articles, contributor pieces, the Spin the Wheel tips and any other material on this website, is for general information and education only. It is not medical, dietetic or nutritional advice for you personally.

Not a substitute for professional care. Nothing on this site replaces an individual assessment by a qualified health professional. Please speak to your doctor, a registered dietitian or another qualified professional before changing your diet, especially if you:

  • have a medical condition or take medication
  • are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy
  • are under 18 or over 65
  • have, or have had, a difficult relationship with food or eating

No professional relationship. Reading this website, contacting us or submitting a form does not create a practitioner–client relationship. A consultation only begins once it has been agreed and confirmed separately.

Contributors' views. Articles are written by independent contributors. They are proofread and fact-checked before publication, but the views expressed are the author's own. Research changes over time, and although we correct errors when we find them, we can't guarantee that every article reflects the latest evidence.

Emergencies. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services straight away.

Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Nutri-Verse and its contributors are not liable for any loss or harm resulting from the use of information on this website.

Editorial Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Nutri-Verse publishes evidence-based nutrition writing by students, graduates and qualified nutrition professionals from around the world. This page explains how articles are chosen, checked and corrected.

Who edits

Every article is edited and fact-checked by Priyanka Soni, Registered Associate Nutritionist (AfN, UK), before it is published.

What we publish

Articles fit one of four pillars: Evidence Check, Research Simplified, Food & Culture, and Career Paths. We publish writing that is accurate, clearly referenced and useful to a general reader.

How articles are checked

  • References: each article cites 3–5 sources, mainly peer-reviewed research, in APA 7 style. We check that each reference exists and supports the claim it is attached to.
  • Claims: health claims must reflect the weight of current evidence, not a single small study. Where evidence is limited or mixed, the article must say so.
  • Language: we avoid fear-based wording, moralising about food, and promises of guaranteed results.
  • Originality: articles must be the author's own work. We check for plagiarism.
  • AI use: contributors must tell us if they used AI tools and how. AI-generated text is not accepted as a substitute for the author's own writing and analysis.
  • Revisions: authors receive one round of editorial feedback before publication.

What we don't publish

  • Promotion of brands, products or supplements
  • Personalised clinical or dietary advice
  • Content that promotes extreme restriction, rapid weight loss or diet culture
  • Claims that can't be supported by credible evidence

Conflicts of interest

Contributors must declare any financial or professional interest related to their topic (for example, working for or being paid by a company mentioned). Relevant declarations are published with the article.

Advertising and sponsorship

Nutri-Verse does not currently accept advertising or sponsored articles. If this changes, sponsored content will always be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial decisions.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email us at info@nutri-verse.in with the article title and the issue. We review every report. Where a correction is needed, we update the article and add a dated note at the end explaining what changed. Significant errors are corrected as quickly as possible.

Author credentials

Contributor profiles show each author's qualifications, where they're based and, where applicable, their professional registration. We check credentials before publication, but credentials displayed are as provided by the contributor at the time of checking.

Contributor Terms

Last updated: 30 September 2026

These terms apply to anyone who submits a pitch or article to Nutri-Verse. By submitting, you agree to them.

Who can write

Students, graduates and professionals in nutrition, dietetics or food science, from any country. Contributors must be studying for, or hold, a degree in one of these subjects.

Contributor tiers

Tiers describe career stage, not the quality of anyone's writing.

  • Student: currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in nutrition, dietetics or food science.
  • Graduate: holds a degree in nutrition, dietetics or food science, with less than 3 years of work in a nutrition role since their first nutrition degree.
  • Practising Professional: at least 3 years of work in a nutrition role since their first nutrition degree.

What counts as a nutrition role

Paid roles in clinical, community, public health, corporate wellness, research, education, food industry or freelance nutrition practice. Part-time work counts pro rata. Volunteering, internships and placements done as part of a degree do not count towards the 3 years.

Registration

Registration is shown separately on each contributor's profile. It does not affect tier, because not every country has a nutrition register.

How tiers are confirmed

Contributors choose their tier when they pitch and list their nutrition roles with dates. The editor confirms the tier against their CV or LinkedIn before publication. Tiers are updated when a contributor's experience changes.

1. What you confirm when you submit

  • The work is your own original writing and has not been published elsewhere in the same form.
  • You have correctly credited all sources, and you have permission to use any images, figures or quotes you include.
  • You have disclosed any use of AI tools.
  • You have declared any conflict of interest related to your topic.
  • The credentials and information you give us about yourself are accurate.
  • The article does not contain personalised clinical advice, product promotion or anything defamatory or unlawful.

2. Copyright and licence

  • You keep the copyright to your article.
  • You give Nutri-Verse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for clarity and accuracy, format, and display your article on the Nutri-Verse website, and to promote it on Nutri-Verse social media and newsletters.
  • The licence continues for as long as the article remains on the site. You can ask us to remove it at any time (see section 6).
  • You may republish your article elsewhere, including on your own LinkedIn or blog, two weeks after it appears on Nutri-Verse, with a line stating it was first published on Nutri-Verse and a link back.

3. Editing

We may edit your article for accuracy, clarity, length, style and consistency with our editorial policy. We will share significant changes with you before publication. We may decline to publish any submission, including after editing, if it does not meet our standards.

4. Payment

Contributions are unpaid. Contributors receive a published byline, a contributor profile, promotion on Nutri-Verse channels, and editorial feedback.

5. Your profile

We will publish your name, photo, short bio, qualifications, location and any links you provide on your contributor profile. You can ask us to update these at any time.

6. Removal

You can ask us to remove your article or profile by emailing info@nutri-verse.in. We will remove it within 14 days. Copies already shared on social media by others may remain outside our control.

7. Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you supply about yourself. If a claim is made against Nutri-Verse because of content you supplied in breach of section 1, you agree to cooperate with us in resolving it.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one in place when your article is accepted.
